AMF occupy our own modern premises in which is installed a new state of the art metal finishing plant, comprising facilities to carry out a full range of treatments including Non-destructive testing, Painting and various Wet Processes. With it's extensive range of processes AMF aim to bring customers lead times down to a minimum, which in today's market is proven to be financially beneficial.

On going training and investment in people ensure AMF is at the forefront of the technology advancement within metal finishing.  We offer an unsurpassed breadth of knowledge on all aspects of surface engineering and technology.

Due to an increase in demand from existing customers, a decision was made during the latter part of 2006 to add a new plant to the existing treatments facility giving AMF Ltd the capability of processing larger parts.

More Aerospace Manufacturing Companies are re-equipping their machine shops with the latest state of the art machinery / equipment and moving towards “Integrated Structures” production and as a result of this advancement in manufacturing, parts now being manufactured are larger more intricate in design and usually require more sophisticated treatments.

The (First Phase) of the plant installation was to build a second new Fluorescent Penetrant Non Destructive Testing Line with the capability of testing parts up to 3 meters.  Following completion this was Commissioned by the South West of NDT Cardiff and Approved by Bombardier Aerospace (Shorts) in August 2007 to allow AMF Ltd to process various types of Engine Nacelle Rings up to 2.00m in diameter manufactured by Smiths (Harlow) Ltd for Bombardier Aerospace.

Although this NDT facility had been specifically designed for Engine Rings, it can also  accommodate other types of parts such as Wing Ribs, Engine Torque Boxes and many other large parts.

The (second Phase) of the Plant Installation was to build a fourth new Chemical Processing Line.  The fourth Chemical Processing Line introduces a new (Boric Acid-Sulphuric Acid Anodising) process with the capability of processing parts (3.00m x 1.90m x 0.250m) in size.

In addition to the (Boric Acid-Sulphuric Acid Anodising) process a new (Chromic Acid Anodising) facility has also being added to process  parts up to (3.00mx1.90mx0.250m). 

AMF Ltd already have in place a second large spray-bake oven which was introduced in late 2006 to satisfy demand for he rapid turn-around of parts.
